I cancelled my Saturday plans because it actually snowed when the weather forecast said it would, so I was home sewing and not doing homework.

My mom called me that evening and this was our conversation.

Mom (sounding kinda surprised): Are you home?

Me: Yes

Mom: I saw a car just like yours pulled over at CVS and then two more police cars pulled up behind it. I was like, “what did that woman do??”

Me: Haha

Mom: I thought I’d call and check on you. They looked like they weren’t going to let you out!

I don’t know which is funnier, that she sounded kinda surprised that it wasn’t me or that she was on the phone with me at the exact moment it was going on but still talking as if it really was me at CVS.
