Iron Maiden

You should know this band. I know you’ve seen people wearing their tshirts around.

They put on a very good show! There were stage changes that matched the songs and it was done so quickly you didn’t even have time to get distracted by anything else. I suggest you go see them live before they retire or something.

At the BOK Center in Tulsa.

This is where we started out. Not fun. Way too far.

These seats only works for Thunder basketball
games.

This is where we ended up. Close enough to feel the heat from the flames. We magicked ourselves to these seats.

Much, much better.
Bruce just walking around being cool and shooting fire.
The view as we were leaving. We had a long drive back home and had to skip out early.

I didn’t look around outside but was curious about the trucks hauling their stage sets. Most of the time I can just enjoy something for what it is but sometimes I have so many questions. Their stage had too many interesting things for me to not be asking how.

My one and only memory that sticks out from knowing them back in the day was seeing the singer Bruce Dickinson in a commercial against drunk driving. There were new Pontiac convertibles that just came out (don’t remember the year) and he was sitting in a red one. It could’ve been a stage prop but little kid me was like, “Oh he likes those?” because to this day I still don’t think they look cool.

But I did think he was cool. And the whole band is. They’re oldies now but they can still kick panties on stage!
